China has become the largest market for Japanese chip manufacturing equipment! Has accounted for over 50% of the total for three consecutive quarters
On June 12th, according to media reports, the Chinese market has become the largest export destination for Japanese chip manufacturing equipment for three consecutive quarters, accounting for over 50%.
In the first quarter of this year, Japan's exports of semiconductor manufacturing equipment and related components, as well as flat panel display manufacturing equipment, to China reached 521.2 billion yen, a year-on-year increase of 82%, reaching the highest level since 2007.
Analysis suggests that the main reasons for this are the special need for production line replacement caused by the trade friction between China and the United States, as well as the growing demand for automotive electronic components and third-generation semiconductor products for new energy vehicles and other new products.
At present, the main Japanese companies producing semiconductor manufacturing equipment include Nikon and Canon, which hold important positions in the global lithography machine market.
With the rapid development of China's new energy vehicle industry, the demand for 28nm process chips has increased, further driving the growth of Japanese semiconductor manufacturing equipment exports to China.
